Anxiety Therapy

When your mind won’t switch off

You may be managing your daily life, yet inside your thoughts feel restless, repetitive, and difficult to quiet

Start Talking Therapies

A story that may feel familiar

You wake up and your heart is already racing.
Nothing has happened, Yet your body feels on edge.
Your mind starts moving fast: “What if something goes wrong?”
“What if I can’t cope?”
“How will I get through today?”

There’s tension in your shoulders. A tightness in your stomach.
A knot in your throat.
You try to regain control. You try to think your way out of it.
But the more you push it down, the louder it becomes.

Many people live like this — outwardly functioning, inwardly exhausted.
Anxiety doesn’t mean something is wrong with you.
It means your nervous system is working overtime — and it needs understanding, not criticism.

How we work with anxiety

Finding calm, stability, and mental space

I work with you to understand what is driving your anxiety — not just to manage symptoms, but to shift the patterns that keep it going.
Together, we work on:

  • Constant worry and overthinking
  • Rumination and mental loops
  • Physical tension and restlessness
  • Intrusive thoughts and fear of the future
  • Panic attacks and loss of control
  • Avoidance and procrastination
  • Chronic stress and emotional exhaustion

The aim is not to eliminate all anxiety.
It is to help you feel more grounded, more steady, and more in control of your responses.

Anxiety is not the only difficulty I support. You can also explore work on trauma, depression, and night therapy.

CBT and EMDR: evidence-based treatments

Working on the patterns that keep anxiety active

CBT can help you understand how thoughts, behaviours, and physical reactions reinforce anxiety — and introduces practical ways to change these cycles.

When anxiety is linked to past emotional experiences, trauma, or earlier learning, Trauma Focused CBT or EMDR can help reduce internal reactivity and the constant sense of threat. Together, these approaches support you in feeling more grounded, less alert, and more in control of your present life.

You don’t have to keep living in constant alert.

Anxiety can feel convincing. But it is not the whole story of who you are.
We can work together to create more space — more breath — and a steadier sense of safety in your day-to-day life.
